Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with William Eddins

This exciting Black History Month program was curated by the virtuosic William Eddins, who performs as both conductor and soloist in the ever-popular Rhapsody in Blue and Beethoven’s triumphant Symphony No. 5.

Ticket purchasers are invited to a private reception hosted by The King Arts Complex at 1 PM, featuring a performance by Columbus Urban Strings with an opportunity to meet featured Virtuoso William Eddins, who will perform as both conductor and soloist during the CSO afternoon concert.

In partnership with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and Urban Strings Columbus.

Program:

Perkinson: Sinfonietta No. 1

Gershwin: Rhapsody in Blue (1926 orchestration, Grofé)

Beethoven: Symphony No. 5

Accompaniments:

Prelude: Join Christopher Purdy from WOSU Classical 101 for a pre-concert talk.

COVID-19 VACCINATION OR TEST REQUIREMENT: starting September 25th, the Columbus Symphony will require all audience members to show proof of vaccination, or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours before entering the building, or a negative rapid antigen test within 24 hours before entering the building.
