Toronto-based singer-songwriter Julian Taylor has been part of the musical fabric in Canada for over two decades. Taylor, of combined Mohawk and Caribbean ancestry, is a major label veteran, Toronto music scene staple, and musical chameleon. His versatility as a songwriter is his signature. Formerly a part of the band Staggered Crossing, he has recorded and performed as a solo artist and released twelve studio albums since 2001. Taylor enjoyed a breakthrough year in 2020 when his second solo acoustic album, The Ridge, earned a million plays on Spotify, worldwide praise, and numerous Canadian music awards and nominations, including Solo Artist of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards and two Juno Award nominations. He has toured extensively and shared the stage with Serena Ryder, Blue Rodeo, Rodney Crowell, and Keb’ Mo’.
