In remembrance of a year since George Floyd was taken from us, the King Arts Complex presents “8:46”. The project was filmed in 2020 as a part of the HeART of Protest movement that was launched on June 19, 2020. We pay homage to a man and countless others who were the catalyst for social, racial, and economic upheaval. Eight dancers have each choreographed a 46 second response to the social injustice that we have all witnessed for far too long.
