The spring event to attend in Columbus.  The fundraiser and party with a purpose to support youth programs and performances. We honor select community figures at our VIP Reception, and provide guests with an unforgettable evening of entertainment, spirited dancing, and worldly cuisines.

Join us Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Hilton Columbus Downtown as we honor a true Columbus trailblazer, businesswoman and community advocate Donna A. James. The evening will begin with a VIP Dinner from 7-8:30 p.m., and feature a conversation moderated by NBC 4’s Mike Jackson. Stay for the reception and Gala featuring an intimate concert performance, dessert stations, cash bars, and more.

All proceeds from the evening will support The King Arts Complex in its mission to provide our community with artistic programming that challenges and inspires.

The world knows Stokley’s enduring collaborations. His 2011 effort with Kelly Price, "Not My Daddy,” earned a GRAMMY nomination. The TV performances alongside Jimmy Fallon and Conan O’Brien and awards shows such as BET Honors and the AMAs. His film scores and catalogue of studio work, a veritable who’s who: Mariah Carey, Usher, Mary J. Blige, and Jill Scott.

Renowned, chart-topping guitarist Tim Bowman has a way of making melding smooth jazz, gospel, soul and blues seem effortless as evidenced throughout his more than 30 years in music, including his 2017, seventh studio album, Into the Blue, on I.M. Records / Purpose Jazz. The Detroit native, who grew up playing guitar in church, attended the College of Creative Studies, and served as the musical director for gospel luminaries the Winans before embarking on his solo career in 1987, continues to carve a niche for himself.
