MLK: 50 Years Later

"Almost always, the creative dedicated minority has made the world better."
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

April 3 – 12, 2018

In recognition of the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s untimely death, The King Arts Complex will convene a week-long citywide arts celebration honoring his life and legacy. From April 10 – 14, 2018, The King Arts Complex and community partners from across central Ohio will host nearly a dozen unique events. Programs will feature simulcasts and live streaming to reach local, national, and international audiences, including our sister arts organization, the National Theatre of Ghana.

Inspired by video stations at the new Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, video testimonial booths at each event will allow attendees to record their stories related to MLK, civil rights, and social justice.
