We are living in challenging and unprecedented times. The global COVID-19 pandemic and protests against racism have left many feeling anxious, angry and scared. Speak Your Peace, an initiative of Columbus Public Health’s Columbus CARE Coalition, is a community effort to respond to the trauma and violence of these historic times in a peaceful way through poetry, writing, photography, painting, dance and other forms of artistic expression.

Anyone can participate in Speak Your Peace. People of all ages and walks of life are encouraged to share work that shows how you have been working through this moment in a way that encourages artistic or peaceful expression. If your work is selected, you will be notified and it will be shared with Columbus Public Health’s audience through our website and social media pages.

For questions about the Speak Your Peace initiative, please contact Marian Stuckey at MAStuckey@columbus.gov.
