Church of Christ Genessee Avenue, Congregation Tifereth Israel, and Listen First, Inc., Present Black-Jewish Reconciliation: (Re)Building the Bridge
Black-Jewish Reconciliation: (Re)Building The Bridge is a Ford Foundation supported national lecture tour on the history of the Black-Jewish Alliance and its relevance today.
The 90 minute event consists of brief presentations by the speakers, a moderated dialogue, and a Q&A with the audience.
Each lecture features Avi Dresner, son of Rabbi Israel Dresner, the most arrested and jailed rabbi during the Civil Rights Movement, in dialogue with local African American leaders, academics, activists and event attendees.
Avi will be speaking with Bexley Police Chief, Gary D. Lewis, and the discussion will be moderated by Gayle Saunders, an award-winning public relations executive.
The Columbus event will be Thursday, November 19, 2026 from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm, and will be held at:
