First Tuesday Tea is a monthly arts, culture, and community engagement program designed for adults ages 55 and older. Hosted by the King Arts Complex, the program provides a welcoming and relaxed environment where participants can gather, connect, learn, and explore a wide range of artistic, cultural, and community topics.

Each month, First Tuesday Tea brings together guest artists, educators, community leaders, and subject-matter experts for engaging presentations, conversations, performances, and hands-on creative experiences. Programs may explore music, dance, visual arts, literature, history, health and wellness, financial education, current events, and issues affecting the community.

At the heart of First Tuesday Tea is connection. The program creates meaningful opportunities for older adults to build friendships, remain socially and culturally engaged, discover new interests, and share their own experiences and perspectives. Participants are encouraged not only to learn, but also to participate, create, and contribute to the conversation.

Through arts experiences, educational programming, and fellowship, First Tuesday Tea supports lifelong learning, creativity, personal enrichment, and social connection while ensuring that older adults remain an active and valued part of the King Arts Complex community.

More than a monthly gathering, First Tuesday Tea is a space for conversation, discovery, creativity, and community, where participants can come together to sip some tea and be inspired.
