$25Have you ever wanted to make a film? Once you learn how, then you’ll have the creative control to make one! The Young Filmmakers Project is a hands-on course where students learn the nuts and bolts of film production at one of Columbus’s iconic arts institutions. In the process, our young filmmakers will write, direct and produce a short film.
All teens 13-18 years old who are interested in making movies are welcome — NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Learn professional script writing, directing, filming, and editing! Collaborate with fellow aspiring filmmakers to write a screenplay, direct actors, film, light and record audio on your very own film. The King Arts Complex has partnered with local Independent Filmmaker, Siriah Miller, to produce a professional short film. Participants of the Young Filmmakers Project will have a budget and access to professional film equipment. By the end of the program, every aspiring artist will be have the official title of Filmmaker and a project of their very own to add to their reel.
