The Juneteenth Festival will be free for the community! \nThe event will be spread over four acres-with hand sanitizer stations throughout- to encourage social distancing in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. All attendees MUST wear face coverings; if you do not have a mask\, one will be provided. \n“Juneteenth also known as Freedom Day\, Jubilee Day\, and Cel-Liberation Day\, is an American holiday celebrated annually on June 19. It commemorates June 19\, 1865\, when Union general Gordon Granger read federal orders in Galveston\, Texas\, that all previously enslaved people in Texas were free.
