SUMMARY:A Village Folk Artist Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:A Village Folk Artist Exhibition celebrates 40 years of artistry from Shelbi “SheL10” Toone\, showcasing powerful works rooted in ancestry\, resilience\, and community. This exhibition uplifts Central Ohio’s Black cultural legacy while inspiring the next generation. Each piece bridges past and future\, honoring tradition and keeping our stories alive. \nArtist\, cultural historian\, and community curator Shelbi “SHEL10” Toone announces A Village Folk Artist: A 40-Year Living Archive\, a self-led retrospective exhibition opening fall 2026. The exhibition honors four decades of creative practice rooted in community\, memory\, and cultural stewardship\, marking Toone’s 40th year with a powerful declaration of legacy and becoming.  \nShelbi Toone is a passionate artist\, cultural historian\, and community curator. With a rich background in creative practice\, she brings a unique perspective to the art world that emphasizes community and memory. \n” I am not an emerging artist. I am a product of a village and I’ve spent my life giving back to it through art\, memory\, and cultural preservation.”
