He toured with Robert Plant and the Zac Brown Band and was named “songwriter of the year” for both ASCAP and NSAI. Scotts’s compositions became highlights of albums by Garth Brooks\, Faith Hill\, Kathy Mattea\, Maura O’Connell\, and even his mentor\, Guy Clark. He has released 14 albums\, including the most recent\, Jaroso (2020).
