The Young Filmmakers Project is a hands-on course where students learn the nuts and bolts of film production at one of Columbus’s iconic arts institutions. In the process\, our young filmmakers will write\, direct and produce a short film.\n\nAll teens 13-18 years old who are interested in making movies are welcome — NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Learn professional script writing\, directing\, filming\, and editing! Collaborate with fellow aspiring filmmakers to write a screenplay\, direct actors\, film\, light and record audio on your very own film. The King Arts Complex has partnered with local Independent Filmmaker\, Siriah Miller\, to produce a professional short film. Participants of the Young Filmmakers Project will have a budget and access to professional film equipment. By the end of the program\, every aspiring artist will be have the official title of Filmmaker and a project of their very own to add to their reel.
