The Last Days of Martin Luther King, Jr. by Alan Bomar Jones

An ambitious black veteran reporter, Preston Spencer, news reporter for WKBC TV, had a rare opportunity to interview an American hero, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The interview was scheduled on the day that Dr. King makes his second visit to Memphis, Tennessee in effort to aid the sanitation workers.  Unbeknownst to Dr. King, Preston has planned to inquire about topics that many journalists have avoided out of respect for his humanitarian work.  The desperation of one man collides with the integrity of the other.  Witness the Last Days of Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr.
