In 1984, Stephen B. Oates’s book Let The Trumpet Sound: A Life of Martin Luther King, Jr. and a biography of Malcolm X caused the lyricist Bono of the band U2 to ponder the violent and the non-violent sides of the civil rights campaign. This program explores the legacy of Dr. King through the music of the past 50 years. We hope you will join us for In the Name of Love. Presented in collaboration with the Harmony Project and with supported from PNC Arts Alive.
