MLK Open House – “50 Years…Marching On”

January 21, 2013 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

FREE

Join us as we explore the impact of the March on Washington for Jobs & Freedom in August 1963.  This was the event where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Gave his “I Have a Dream’ speech.  The keynote speaker is Edith Lee-Payne whose picture at the march has been a symbol of that historic day.  We will also show President Barack Obama’s inauguration ceremony.
This Community Event is an excellent opportunity for children, families and friends to enjoy musical and live theatrical performances, watch videos, learn about the civil rights movement, participate in hands-on studio art activites, view the aart exhibition and meet new friends.

The 2013 MLK Open house is free and open to the public.
